The horses birthday - happy birthday to all the equines of the world.
Enough of that however. I am sorry it has taken so long to update the Ethan Stokes story. I am working on replacing the entire site with another version. I apologise for the difficulty this has created for those of you who have been waitng for further installments. Preparing this new site is an ongoing adventure and has taken a lot of my time to date.
I have rewritten the introductory paragraph for the first chapter and I ha… Continue

My March Virtual Book Tour starts soon and anyone interested in learning how this form of promotion works can follow along by visiting the participating sites. The Reckoning of Asphodel, my recently released debut novel, hit number one on the Fictionwise bestseller list! Granted, that was two weeks ago but it still counts. It actually unseated Neil Gaiman's Stardust the week after the movie was released. I would have done this shameless plug earlier, but my laptop bit the dust at the same time that my lower back did.
Deadly Enterprise hasn’t had much promotion this week, until yesterday when I started another blitz of review sites to get more takers. The early part of the week I was busy finishing up the last of the last novel clinic, and then went out to begin the annual firewood collection. The forestry has been closed because of the drought and extreme fire hazard, so I collected a load from along the CPR track. It was harder work that usual because I couldn’t drive to the wood and had to drag it out by h… Continue

I have to confess I’ve been very busy – too busy to write blog entries for all my sites – but you can read my latest posted tale from Oil Gypsy and my recent promotion activities on my primary blog site – http://www.serial-adventure-fiction.blogspot.com
Aloha....as I mentioned in my profile, my online research for my Squidoo lens on Alternate Realities led me here. Since I'm already a member of Ning with three other groups, it was easy for me to join this one.
If anyone has any fascinating links and info you'd like to share with me for my Squidoo lens, feel free to leave a comment and inform me.
My Oil Gypsy excerpt this time is about conditions in the Arctic and what it feels like when the weather closes in to prevent you from telling ground from sky.
But first: the commercial <g>.
I’ve ordered a few POD copies of Deadly Enterprise, but they’ve not arrived yet. To order the large print paperback off the Double Dragon website (at http://www.double-dragon-ebooks.com/single.php?ISBN=1-55404-466-9 ) you need to click on the link at the top right hand corner of the… Continue

I’m new to this site and was put onto it by a close relative who thought I might like it. I must say that although I haven’t had a chance to have a good look around, I like what I’ve seen so far.

Before I get to my latest Oil Gypsy post I must tell you about all my promotions for my novel Deadly Enterprise.
I have blog interviews up at Rachael Byrd’s site www.xanga.com/rachaelbyrd as well as on Novelspot at http://novelspot.net/node/1733 . Actually my Novelspot interview is on the front page right now. I did have another but I’m going to have to send a note to the blog owner to find out the link to it.

With my recent obsession with the TV Show Supernatural, my *ahem* current project got shoved to the side as an undeniable need to write some fan fiction came over me.
My roots go back to fan fiction. My first 100 to 200K words were fan fiction after I wrote the novel that shall not be named. Fan fiction, and the wonderful input of some very well versed fans, was where I cut my teeth on this whole writing thing. Where I had epiphanie
Our latest anthology from Double Dragon, Twisted Tales II, Volumes 1 & 2 have been released. The stories all hinge upon twists in time – time travel, time paradox, or alternate timelines. I'd really like you to check it out – I have a story in volume 2. You can find it at --
Doing some plotting in my head for a background scene in one of my alternate world novels ( yes I do that a lot, with the intention of reaching deeper into my scenario rather than using the scene in a novel ) I came across a huge reality gap in most science fiction scenes of planetary arrival.
My scenes first. My modern people have been stranded on an alternate earth, with a culture very like our timeline in the early 1700s. On the first ocean voyage in a sailing ship that has been… Continue
Gemstone Ivora was completely alone. Her mother had abandoned her half sister and her as young children. Gem was forced to adapt, to learn to care for herself, for her half sister, and for the dozens of useless orphan girls that mysteriously found their way to her house. After a fire that results in the deaths of all of the orphans, Gem and her sister descend into a nightmarish world, where they find themselves on opposite sides in ’the ultimate’ war. The Cycle of Blood has begun.
