The Dogs Of Holly Warren
By the end of the twenty-first century, the Middle Class are extinct, Medicare and Social Security are things of the past, Single-Party-Politics rule the United States with an iron fist, and the only thing standing between total Upper-Crust domination and the remaining 85% of huddled, starving, and sometimes cannibalistic masses is a ragtag network of bogus churches, and a handful of their slightly off kilter operatives.
Follow Agents Pollyanna, Big Daddy, Momma Bear, Codger, and Jackass in this Political Satire/Action Adventure/Romantic Comedy as they endeavor to turn the tables on America’s ‘Trickle Down’ destiny, and the manmade virus that threatens to sterilize an entire impoverished population.

Sorry about the repeats. I'm still getting used to the new-fangled 21st century internet stuff :)
Now, skinning a rabbit in 30 seconds flat; that I can handle.

Hi Chris,
I know what you mean. I started out with a serious-minded concept, but eventually had to back off. My muse kept abandoning me due to the disheartening subject matter. It wasn’t until I approached the idea as a humorous project that I found a story I could really get behind.
I would love nothing more than to have my fanciful predictions to be proved just that. And I don’t think there’s ever been a more diverse group of qualified Presidential hopefuls. If the pendulum does indeed swing, (fingers crossed) then I will gratefully classify Holly Warren in the ‘Alternate Reality’ category.
My folks gave me a fair vocabulary, but the goat-ropin’, tobacco chewin’, professional wrestlin’ watchin’ crowd I grew up with had other plans for my cultural education. I can out-ride, out-shoot, and out-cuss anyone, except my grandmother.
SSC would be System Scale Corporation? I think they’re the folks that keep our calipers in proper working order. I work for a hydraulic division under the Dover Corporation. I’d place Antlers about two hundred miles from Broken Arrow. I’ve been through there. It’s a nice town, and has some pretty countryside to boot.

Hi Nathan:

I must look for your novel next time I'm at DDP. I started to write a dystopian novel about the way society seemed to be heading, but quit after three chapters -- too depressing to contemplate. I'll have to see how you handled it with humor and satire.

BTW, I believe the first glimmers are beginning to show that the corner is being turned. The last few years may turn out to be another proof that the pendulum always swings back. Maybe easy for me to think that from Canada, but Lao Tsu said "What is to be shrunken must first be stretched out", and boy have they ever stretched out.

I think a redneck liberal could handle the redneck reactionism in Alberta where I live. I'm definitely liberal, but have never owned to be a redneck -- nor am I really a westerner in this most cowboy of Canadian provinces.

I worked for SSC out of Tulsa, in Libya in the 60s, have some friends still in the Tulsa area. How far is Bixby from Antlers? One of my friends in Libya bought half the town on his overseas earnings.

Chris.
